I am thrilled to officially be a part of the team at Neon Canvas as a digital marketing coordinator. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Katee Forbis, and I have built a name for myself in the city of Memphis through sports and social media over the last five years.
I don’t have the largest following in Memphis, but I would like to think that I have the most passionate following in Memphis and beyond. I was able to not only maintain, but grow my social media following over these last five years by being willing to evolve in the ever-changing world of social media. Even through all of my evolving over the years, I’ve always tried to be myself. I strive to be an authentic voice in a world that is often so unoriginal.
Because of my social media platform, I have been fortunate enough to go a lot of interesting places and meet a lot of fascinating people. But of all the opportunities that social media has afforded me, the one I am most proud of is being offered a position at Neon Canvas.
I was extremely interested in moving toward a career in this field, but I had decided I was going to wait until I found a company that could match my passion in the world of social media and digital marketing. After my first meeting with the CEO of Neon Canvas, Alex Rasmussen, I already knew I had found the right place. I had found a truly authentic company that stood for the same things that I did. I chose Neon Canvas because I found it to be an extremely ethical, honest, hard-working, and passionate team of talented people. I’ve discovered that Neon Canvas isn’t just “a job” for these people, it is their calling.
When talent, creativity, passion, drive and ethics all come together in a company, it is a rare thing. I certainly wasn’t going to pass up the opportunity to join such a wonderful team! I am beyond grateful to them for giving me the opportunity to pursue my dreams. I believe that when someone is fortunate enough to do what they love, they will feel driven to help others succeed as well. That is why I am committed to helping Neon Canvas and our clients follow their dreams in whatever way I can. I am grateful for all that has happened thus far, and I look forward to all that is to come. 2017 is going to be a great year!
